Voepass ATR-72 - Flat Spin and Crash - Brazil

61 people are dead after an ATR-72-500 operated by Brazilian airline Voepass Linhas Aéreas crashed in a residential area near Vinhedo in the state of São Paulo, Brazil, on Friday. It is believed that the aircraft experienced a flat spin, which occurs after both wings of a plane are stalled.
The ATR-72-500 was operating as flight 2283 (PTB2283) from Regional West Airport (CAC) in Cascavel to São Paulo/Guarulos International Airport (GRU). Flight data suggests that the aircraft rapidly dropped from around 17,000 feet and crashed into the ground within minutes.
