Sandtoft Airfield 80th Anniversary Fly-in
Description
To celebrate the 80th anniversary of when RAF Sandtoft opened on the 18th of February we will be hosting a fly-in on the weekend of the 17th and 18th of February 2024. During the Second world war Sandtoft was home to the No. 1667 Heavy Conversion Unit of RAF Bomber Command Handley Page Halifaxes and later Auro Lancasters were flown from Sandtoft to train RAF heavy bombers crews from opening until after the end of hostilities.
