The Evektor EV-97 EuroStar is a light, single-engine utility aircraft from the Czech manufacturer Evektor in the late 1990s to early 2000s. It features a low-wing, piston-driven configuration with a fixed or optional retractable gear and conventional tail, emphasizing general aviation cross-country and tour flights. Notable for its composite construction and emphasis on cost-effective, efficient performance, it remains of interest as a representative light sport/GA trainer-type with practical touring capabilities.

Description

Wilco Aviation is pleased to offer this home-built EV97 EuroStar, registration G-CBMZ. Currently based at Henstridge Airfield in the South West of England, viewings can be arranged by appointment.
The EV97 EuroStar is a lightweight aircraft designed for leisure flying, touring, and training, operating under non-aerobatic VFR conditions. This single-engine, two-seat, low-wing aircraft features an all-metal construction, tricycle landing gear, and a steerable nose wheel for enhanced manoeuvrability.
Powered by an 80 hp Rotax 912 UL engine, with optional upgrades to a 100 hp Rotax 912 ULS or an 80 hp Jabiru 2200, the EuroStar offers a balance of performance, reliability, and efficiency. Its anodised aluminium airframe is built for durability, with a semi-monocoque fuselage integrating a tail fin and a firewall for added safety. The monospar wing, reinforced with fibreglass tips, and an all-metal tail unit further contribute to its robust design.
The aircraft includes a 65-litre fuel tank positioned behind the seats. Its landing gear comprises a three-wheel setup with composite main legs, hydraulic disk brakes, and a controllable nose wheel.
Inside, the cockpit is designed for maximum comfort and practicality, with side-by-side seating, panoramic visibility, adjustable pedals, effective ventilation, and an optional heating system. The removable carpet and ergonomic canopy, supported by gas struts, enhance convenience. A dual-control setup allows precise handling, with ailerons and the elevator managed by control sticks, while the rudder is operated via foot pedals. Flaps are adjusted mechanically using a central lever.
All Airworthiness Directives (ADs) and Service Bulletins (SBs) have been complied with, ensuring the new owner can jump in and fly away with confidence.
Few aircraft in its class can match the EV97 EuroStar for affordability and sheer enjoyment. With its impressive economy and thrilling flying experience, Mike Zulu offers outstanding value for money.
